The mission of the Workers Health Impulse Foundation (WHI) is to improve workers health in low income countries.
WHI sets itself this goal because millions of both employees and employers in small-scale business needless harm their health due to poor working conditions.
WHI wants to contribute in this way to the implementation of one of the targets of the Decent Work Agenda of the International Labour Organization (ILO): to promote and realize fundamental labour standards.
Vision
Occupational diseases in low income countries cause poverty and child labour in the workers family. These workers hardly have any access to occupational health care. It is often possible to improve the workers health just by alerting the employees and employers in small-scale business about health topics.
The WHI-foundation develops practical and cost-effective solutions to improve workers health in dialogue and cooperation with the workers. WHI informs, innovates, investigates and joins initiatives together.
